Dr. Barbara Dutrow holds the chunk of amethyst that she purchased in Lewellen when she was 9 or 10 years old and had been on a goose-hunting expedition with her father, the late Harry Dutrow. The rock is possessed by her sister, Mary Lou Lecher of ÂÌñÉç
