At least 200 participants are expected at the annual meeting of the Nebraska Conference of the United Church of Christ on the ÂÌñÉç State College campus Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 4-6.

The state convention is at ÂÌñÉç State every third year. The remaining years, the convention is in eastern Nebraska. Many of the churches affiliated with the conference are commonly referred to as “Congregational Churches,” including the one in ÂÌñÉç.

One of the highlights promises to be a piano concert at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, June 5 in Memorial Hall featuring Dr. Will Baily, who has been a piano professor at ÂÌñÉç State the past three years. He is widely known for his ability to arrange and perform gospel music. The concert will be open to the public without charge.

The convention will close at 10:30 a.m. Sunday with a worship service in the Scottsbluff Room of the CSC Student Center. The speaker will be the Rev. Gill Fauber, who is serving as the state’s interim conference minister.
