Students studying math or science at ÂÌñÉç State College will benefit from a gift of more than $500,000 by Richard Gochnauer who attended CSC 1955-57. He lived at the Prairie Pines Lodge in ÂÌñÉç before passing away in April of 2012.

ÂÌñÉç State College, in collaboration with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, has begun an effort to document the occurrence of swift foxes and identify the anthropogenic and ecological factors that limit their distribution. The swift fox has been identified as a Tier 1 at-risk species.
