Ask Elmo is your 24/7 text-based virtual assistant, ready with quick, reliable answers to your CSC questions—deadlines, events, dining, campus resources, and more, right from your phone.

Ask Elmo uses AI to answer your questions, and while he strives for accuracy, mistakes can happen, so replies are reviewed by CSC staff. Texts aren't anonymous, which also allows staff to follow up if you ever need additional support.

Ask Elmo is currently available to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in classes with a valid cell phone number on their student account.

  • Get answers to hundreds of CSC-related questions instantly.
  • Learn about important deadlines, policies, events, and more.
  • Connect with student support services and campus resources.
  • Receive occasional check-ins to help you stay on track.

Elmo’s goal is to make your CSC experience easier, more connected, and more supportive.

Intro message: Every student at CSC will receive a welcome text from Elmo at the beginning of each semester.

For Fall 2026, expect Elmo’s first message the week of August 24th.

Ongoing support: After that, Elmo will occasionally text you during the semester to:

  • Check in on how classes are going.
  • Share tips and reminders.
  • Highlight campus resources and opportunities.
  • Ask your opinion about your CSC experience.
